When it comes to hanging your wallpaper, you'd undoubtedly get the best guaranteed result by getting a professional wallpaper fitter to come and apply it for you.

Equipment
To get started, you'll need some equipment:
- Rolls of amazing Jes Rose wallpaper (of course!)
- A sharp blade like a craft knife for trimming
- Non-woven wallpaper adhesive
- A roller for applying adhesive
- A wallpaper brush or pad (optional)
You can pick up the wallpaper adhesive and rollers from any hardware store.
Preparation
Preparing your surfaces is an important step to getting the perfect finish on your walls.
Make sure your walls are smooth and clean and any old wallpaper or loose paint is removed. If you’ve used water or sugar soap
to wipe your walls down, make sure they’re fully dry before starting.
To get the best out
of your adhesive, gently sanding the walls you’re going to cover will get a better finish and if you’re covering a surface that’s absorbent, you may need to apply lining paper first. Remember to let your lining paper dry completely before getting started!
Adhesive & Application
We do things a little differently than traditional paper, we ask you to apply your wallpaper
adhesive directly to the wall.
A good quality, fungicide protected adhesive specifically for non-woven papers is the best product to use here.
Apply the adhesive to the wall to cover just wider than a width of one strip of paper and you can use a wallpaper brush to smooth down the covering, working from the centre outwards to get rid of any air bubbles. Be careful not to get any paste onto your wallpaper brush too!
Wallpaper should be hung in a clockwise direction around the room and followed around to ensure that the pattern matches up correctly. Hang the first sheet ensuring it's perfectly square to the wall to get started.
Wallpaper Care
Our coated wallpapers are spongeable, while our non-coated paper should be cleaned with a clean dry brush or carefully with a brush accessory on your vacuum cleaner.
Suitability for wet environments
We recommend our coated wallpapers for bathrooms, however you can also use a wallpaper varnish to seal the paper. This is done at the customers own risk and we encourage you to test it on an offcut of the paper as it may alter the colours slightly.
